Food plays a vital role in our well-being and quality of life.  However, it is often missed as an opportunity to address the root causes of cardiovascular disease.

Making informed and confident food choices is incredibly challenging.  The deck is stacked against us.  Overly processed food is everywhere.  Nutritional advice is often unclear and conflicting.

My passion is showing people how to optimize their heart health through food.  I partner with my clients to make informed and sustainable lifestyle changes that honor their individuality and moments of imperfection.

I help people with high blood pressure and heart disease support their body's natural ability to optimize health through nutrition rather than solely relying on medication.

Science-based approach that looks beyond resolving the  symptoms of disease.  My focus is on enhancing cardiovascular function by addressing risk factors and underlying conditions, such as inflammation, oxidative stress and nutritional deficiencies.

NUTRITION IS THE FOUNDATION FOR OPTIMAL HEALTH
All paths to improved well-being include nutrition. Food choices either support or challenge the body’s natural ability to maintain health. The body is built to survive by overcoming short-term challenges.  However, when the challenges become chronic they take a toll on the body and move us more and more towards dis-ease.

PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION
Small changes lead to sustainable changes. The process begins by acknowledging current eating behaviors and progresses by celebrating our successes along the way. Ditching the shame and sense of failure when we fall off track allows us to resume our improved eating behaviors sooner rather than later. 

FOOD IS ONE OF LIFE'S PLEASURES
Rather than focusing on a laundry list of foods to avoid, my approach centers around adding nutrient dense foods into meals.  Healthy meals can make the taste buds sing!!!
